"Welcome to the Wakefield Rotary Club!" This is the message you will hear on a weekly basis if you are a guest at one of our club meetings. The Rotary club of Wakefield, MA is a wonderful group of dynamic and diverse individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds, whom get together for 3 basic reasons. First, we are a team of committed individuals whom enjoy being a part of the continued improvement of our community. Second, we are committed to promoting world peace through our international programs, and last, but certainly not least, we enjoy the fellowship of sharing lunch together and the benefit of the friendships that are the result of great people working together for great causes. Currently, in the Rotary year 2011-2012, our club is seeing a period of rapid growth and development and we lay claim to the largest influx of new members in the state during our first quarter! Entering now into our 2nd quarter, evidently “Enthusiasm is an attitude worth catching,” as we are thankful to be witnessing continued rapid growth. We are excited to currently be recruiting new members and have three basic requirements:
1) You must be a person of good character
2) You must have a positive and enthusiastic outlook on life
3) You must have a heart big enough to be a contributing volunteer.
We welcome any and all, who would like to come experience, and discover, what Rotary is all about. As a guest, lunch is on us. Whether you are looking to help improve the community, promote peace in the world, develop a network of friends or would just like to enjoy the fellowship that is enjoyed by 1.3 million Rotarians worldwide, we welcome the opportunity to meet you. Please feel free to contact me, Eric Sidmore, directly at esidmore1920@comcast.net. It would be both a pleasure and a privilege to speak with you so that I may answer any and all questions you may have about becoming a Rotarian.
Yours in Service,
Eric Sidmore
